Internet Auction

18th Annual Chamber Internet Auction

The 18th Annual Plymouth Regional Chamber of Commerce Auction
is just around the corner.

The Auction will officially start
November 23 and run until December 4.

Here are some of the highlights of this unique community event:

  • This year’s Internet “e-Bay” style auction will be held for two weeks, officially beginning November 23 and closing on December 4 at 8:00 pm.
  • This event continues to be the area’s greatest promotional opportunity for YOUR  business or organization, and one of the best examples of community involvement.

Join the fun . . .

Once you have decided what you would like to donate to this year’s Auction, please complete the form and return it to the Chamber office.  If you donated an item to the last auction, you can contact the Chamber to find out what that donation was.

  • You can mail the PDF form (http://myauction.plymouthnh.org/assets/donation-form.pdf) to our address on the form, fax it to us at 536-4017, or fill out a donation form on-line by clicking here.
  • We do not need your actual item – just your form and a commitment by November 23, 2011. Remember, the earlier you submit your form, the more advertising you get.
  • Please remember to fill out all donation forms completely and legibly!

Promotional benefits . . .

  • All donated items, along with the name of the business/person making the donation, received by the deadline of November 23, 2011  will be included in online Auction Directory.
  • The online directory will also include digital photos of items if provided by the deadline. Photos should be in JPEG format, no more than 800 pixels by 600 pixels.
  • The Chamber’s Web site plays a big role in the Auction – gaining even wider exposure for donating businesses!
  • There are many ways you and your business can take advantage of this great promotional opportunity — just see our attached list of helpful hints.

Sponsorship/volunteer opportunities . . .

In addition to the donated items, the success of the Auction is dependent on volunteers and sponsors. While the Auction is a fundraiser, production costs are incurred.  Sponsorships help offset the cost of the Auction and enables the Chamber to allocate funds raised toward other events, publications, seminars, and training programs that benefit the community year-round.  Please consider donating an item today.

HOW IT WORKS…

Each item donated is assigned an item number and listed with its value and the name of the donor in the online Auction (provided deadline is met). Pictures of items will also be included in the online guide.  Your business receives the promotion as the donor of the item!

Donate an item or service from your business - it can be an actual item or a gift certificate. Your business name gets the promotion as the donor of the item! If you have donated in the past – and can’t remember what you gave… give us a call and we can tell you.

Even if your business does not have an item or service that may be suitable for the auction, you can still donate!  You could donate a gift certificate to a local restaurant or business, or perhaps a hot selling toy, or even a gallon of maple syrup…YOUR BUSINESS still receives the promotion as the donor of the item (and our area businesses benefit as well)!

Important things to remember when choosing your item for donation…

  1. Gift items, gift certificates, or ‘hot’ new toys or novelty items sell best.
  2. Use this opportunity to plant a seed in the minds of consumers. Items you donate can generate additional sales for your business – remember - lots of people are bidding, but there is only one winner! Those who don’t win the item at the auction may go out and purchase it directly at your business following the auction!
  3. Choose something that will represent your business well and be a good selling item at the auction. It won’t look good for your business if no one is bidding on your item! (Remember - if it isn’t selling off your shelf - it probably will not sell at the Auction either!)

If you need us to, we can create a gift certificate for your business donation - just give us the details!

You can also make an outright donation to the Chamber to offset the Auctions operating costs. Sponsorship opportunities are available that will give your business the maximum exposure during the Auction. Contact the Chamber office for more details.

If you have any questions about the Auction or how it works, please call the Plymouth Regional Chamber of Commerce at 536-1001.
